[Case Study] Improving the Anti-Fog Performance of Surveillance Cameras
By applying protective glass that responds to environmental changes to surveillance cameras, we can create a safer society.
Cameras have been installed on the railway platform for crew members to ensure the safety of passengers. Additionally, by installing cameras in the vehicles, drivers can monitor the boarding and alighting status of passengers on a monitor in the driver's seat. Typically, surveillance cameras are housed in enclosures. Fogging of the enclosure's window is a significant issue for maintaining clear image quality. However, outdoor cameras installed on platforms often fog up due to humidity, snowfall, and freezing conditions, leading to a demand for maintenance-free protective glass. In response, our company proposed "Heater Glass," which prevents fogging outdoors, contributing to safety on station platforms. [Case Overview] ■ Challenge: Surveillance cameras exposed outdoors are prone to fogging due to weather and temperature, making it difficult to ensure passenger safety. ■ Solution: The ITO transparent conductive film prevents fogging through the heating of the heater glass. ■ Featured Product: Heater Glass *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
